French Film Festival

Welcome to the 2026 edition of Salve Regina University’s French Film Festival!

Nearly all this year's films are full of mystery and suspense, most often focusing on the difference between the surface appearances that mask deeper truths and realities. Perhaps this is no surprise in an age when the notion of truth itself is under attack, and when we are often asked not to believe our own eyes.

A wine and cheese reception will be held after our first film, "La Nuit du 12," while our Sunday matinee in week two, "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo," will be preceded by a pastry and coffee reception.

All films will be screened on campus in the O’Hare Academic Building’s Bazarsky Lecture Hall. To avoid lines at the door, patrons are encouraged to buy a festival pass online. For general information, email frenchfilmfestival@salve.edu.
