Jessica Teperow will present "We All Have a Role to Play: Supporting Students Impacted by Sexual Violence," a special session for faculty and staff that includes training on our responsibilities regarding Title IX and the support of our students.
 
As faculty and staff, you develop supportive and meaningful relationships with your students and colleagues; the trust they have in you may result in a disclosure of sexual violence. It can be difficult to know what to do and what to say when a student shares an experience of gender-based violence. This workshop will enable you to provide a trauma- informed response and to know the resources that can support you, your students and your colleagues.
 
With more than two decades of experience working with organizations that address sexual and domestic violence, Jessica Teperow has extensive experience in the development and execution of prevention programs and trauma-informed practices within nonprofit, health care, corporate and academic settings. She has worked with colleges and universities to develop policies and procedures to foster trauma-informed classrooms and enable faculty and staff to recognize, respond to and prevent gender-based violence.
