The Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the Senior Honors Thesis Exhibition 2026. This exhibition showcases the work of four outstanding seniors from this year’s graduating class in the Department of Art and Art History. This unique group of studio artists welcomes the public to an interdisciplinary exhibition that includes painting, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, and installation art.

Paige Crowley’s painting practice relies on pattern and process to transform mundane objects into an extraordinary assemblage. The artist contemplates loss, immortality, and spirituality through their painterly treatment of thrift store finds and family collectibles.

Carter Freudenrich’s paintings examine the impact of industry and technology on the landscape of their childhood. Freudenrich’s unconventional paintings navigate the spaces where construction and destruction have become a looming presence in their life.

Mia Gustafson is a graphic designer exploring cultural representation through branding and packaging. For this exhibition, Gustafson imagines the visual identity of an international coffee house with locations in Canada and Sweden.

Kai Thomas’s installation playfully combines ceramic sculpture and wildlife photography. Her work addresses the dangers that domesticated animals pose to bird populations.

The Senior Honors Thesis Exhibition runs from April 09 through April 26. A public reception for the artists will be held on Thursday, April 09 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
