DESCRIPTION:2026 marks the 5th year of hosting the RI Out of the Darkness W
 alk on our campus\, and we invite you to join the Salve Regina University 
 Walk Team - Seahawks for Hope!\n\nOut of the Darkness Walks support the Am
 erican Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) by raising essential funds
  for suicide‑prevention research\, education\, advocacy\, and loss‑sur
 vivor support. These walks also create visible\, stigma‑reducing communi
 ty spaces that connect people\, elevate hope\, and strengthen AFSP’s abi
 lity to provide trainings\, resources\, and healing programs year‑round.
 \n\nSeahawks for Hope will walk to honor those we have lost to suicide\, s
 upport loss-survivors\, support those who struggle with mental health chal
 lenges\, and reflect our shared belief\, rooted in Salve’s Mercy mission
 \, that caring for one another is a collective responsibility - and that n
 o one walks alone.\n\nAll students\, faculty\, staff\, alumni\, families\,
  friends\, and community partners are invited to support this effort by ch
 oosing one (or more) meaningful ways to get involved:\n\nWalk with us! Joi
