36 Ochre Point Ave, Newport , RI 02840

After three long years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Salve Regina's French Film Festival is back! This year, we offer everything from consideration of contemporary issues like diversity, inequality and gender identity to a lavish adaptation of one of Balzac's greatest novels, and from François Truffaut's classic "400 Blows" to an animated film about refugees from the Spanish Civil War.

All films will be screened on campus in the O'Hare Academic Building's Bazarsky Lecture Hall. On opening night, a wine and cheese reception will be held after our first film, "Gagarine," while our Sunday matinee, "Les Illusions Perdues," will be preceded by a pastry-and-coffee reception.

To avoid lines at the door, patrons are encouraged to buy a festival pass online (students, faculty and staff receive free admission with valid Salve Regina ID). For general festival information, email frenchfilmfestival@salve.edu.

We look forward to seeing you.
