Join the McAuley Institute for Mercy Education for an Earth Week Keynote and COP28 delegate response. Rapid climate change resulting from human combustion of fossil fuels is perhaps the greatest challenge human society has ever faced. In the face of ever-increasing evidence of the need to reduce emissions, institutions find themselves caught between their current financial and logistical constraints and the need to radically reshape their energy use.
In this talk, Stephen Porder, the Associate Provost for Sustainability and Professor at Brown University, will explore solutions that are available to institutions today, and the path to reduced emissions in line with our pressing societal needs. Salve COP28 Delegates will join Dr. Porder for a response and dialogue on decarbonization.
