Humanities Ph.D. student, Daniel Goff, will defend his dissertation titled "Graphic Futures: Comic Books as Predictive Critique of Transhumanist Visions".  This dissertation argues that a multidisciplinary framework, including comic books, can effectively articulate specific social and ethical challenges posed by human enhancement technologies and serve as a foundation for developing societal and policy solutions. Through the lens of comic books, this research will examine notable political, philosophical, societal, and military dimensions that may become divisive without a comprehensive understanding of the consequences of human enhancement and Transhumanism.
